What it does
Walks you through the three quick steps Nautis needs the first time you sign in: naming your organization, picking your role, and completing your profile. After this, you land on your startup profile ready to start working.
Who can use it
Logged-in users who haven't yet completed all three steps.
The app shows you onboarding automatically — usually right after your first sign-in or after accepting an invitation that requires it.
Admins and support agents skip onboarding and go straight to the backoffice dashboard.
How to get here
You don't navigate here manually — Nautis sends you to the onboarding wizard whenever it detects that one of the three steps is still missing. You can also go straight to /auth/onboarding if you closed the tab partway through.
The wizard remembers what you've already done:
If your organization exists but you haven't picked a role yet, you start at step 2.
If your role is set but your name or phone number aren't, you start at step 3.
Once everything is set, the app skips onboarding and takes you to your startup profile.
Step-by-step: step 1 — set up your organization
The page shows Step 1 of 3.
Type your Organization name (at least 3 characters). For example, "Acme Inc.".
Click Next step.
We create your organization and move you to step 2.
Step-by-step: step 2 — pick your role
The page shows Step 2 of 3.
Tap the tile that best describes you:
Software Developer
Product Manager
CEO
CTO
Designer
Marketing Manager
Sales Manager
Other
The chosen tile turns blue.
Click Next step. If you want to rename your organization, click Previous instead.
Step-by-step: step 3 — complete your profile
The page shows Step 3 of 3.
(Optional) Click the upload icon under the avatar circle to add a profile picture. Pick an image from your computer, crop it to a square in the pop-up, and confirm.
Check your Full name — we pre-fill it from your sign-up details. Edit if you want.
Your Email is shown but greyed out — it can't be changed here.
Pick your country flag and type your Phone number (optional but recommended for account recovery).
Click Complete to finish, or Previous to change your role.
You're taken to your startup profile, ready to add your pitch, plans, and team.
Tips & limits
Your organization name must be at least 3 characters and shows up everywhere — in invites, emails, exports — so pick the real company name.
The role tile is just for personalisation and isn't your permission level inside the organization. Owners can change member permissions separately.
Profile picture upload works best with square images. If yours isn't square, the cropper helps you trim it.
The phone number is optional, but adding one makes it easier to recover the account or get notified.
If you close the page before clicking Complete, your progress on the current step isn't saved — but anything you finished in earlier steps is.
FAQ
I accidentally clicked the wrong role tile. Can I change it later?
Yes — use the Previous button before clicking Next step. Once you finish onboarding, you can change your designation from your profile settings.
I uploaded the wrong photo. How do I replace it?
Click the upload icon again before clicking Complete. After onboarding, you can update your photo from your profile.
Do I have to add a phone number?
No, the field is optional. You can add it later in your profile.
What happens if I skip onboarding by closing the tab?
The next time you sign in, Nautis brings you back to the step you left off on.
I joined through an invite — do I still need to do this?
Invited members already belong to an organization, so you don't see step 1. You may still see steps 2 and 3 if your profile is missing information.
Where do I land when onboarding is done?
Your startup profile page, where you'll start building your pitch and plans.
