What it does

Lets you join an existing organization in Nautis from an email invite. You'll create your own account on the spot — no separate sign-up needed — and land in the dashboard as a member of the team that invited you.

Who can use it

  • Anyone who received an invitation email from a Nautis organization owner or admin.

  • You don't need an account beforehand — the flow creates one for you.

  • If you already have an account with the invited email, you'll still create a fresh password through this flow (see notes below).

How to get here

Open the invitation email you received and click Accept Invitation (or whatever the invite button says). The link takes you to a page that shows the organization's name, the role you're being invited to, and an Accept Invitation button.

If you closed the email, ask the person who invited you to send a new one. The invite link is unique and tied to the email address that was invited.

Step-by-step: review the invitation

  1. The page shows:

    • The organization's name and logo.

    • The email address that was invited (this is the address the new account will use).

    • The Role you'll have inside the organization.

    • The Expires date — the link stops working after this.

  2. If anything looks wrong (for example, the role isn't what you agreed), close the page and ask the inviter to issue a new invite.

Step-by-step: create your account from the invite

  1. Click Accept Invitation.

  2. A Create Your Account dialog appears.

  3. Your Email is shown and locked — it's the address that was invited.

  4. Type your Name (at least 1 character).

  5. Type a Password (at least 6 characters). Click the eye icon if you want to see what you've typed.

  6. Type the same value into Confirm Password.

  7. Click Create Account.

  8. We create your account, sign you in, and take you to the dashboard. You'll see the new organization in your workspace switcher right away.

Tips & limits

  • Invitations expire after 7 days. If yours has run out, ask for a new one.

  • The invitation is tied to the email address it was sent to — you can't use it to create an account under a different email.

  • You can only use an invitation link once. After you accept, the link is no longer valid.

  • The password you pick here works just like any normal password — you can later turn on two-factor authentication and change it from your account settings.

  • If you were already signed into a different Nautis account, this flow signs you out of that account first.

FAQ

Can I use a different email than the one in the invite?

No. The invite is locked to the invited address. Ask the inviter to resend it to your preferred email.

I clicked the invite link but the page says "Invalid or expired invitation." What now?

Either the 7-day window has passed or the link has already been used. Ask your admin to send a new invite.

Do I have to go through onboarding after accepting?

You skip the "create an organization" step because you already belong to one. If your profile is missing a role or full name, you may still see steps 2 and 3 of onboarding.

Can I see what permissions my role gives me?

The role name and description are shown on the invitation review page. Your organization's admin can adjust permissions later.

Can I leave the organization later?

Yes. Once you're in, your organization owner or admin can remove you, and you can also leave from your member settings.
