What it does

Several Nautis modules let you generate a public share link so investors, advisors, or anyone outside your workspace can view a pitch deck, data room, investor snapshot, or other shared asset — without needing to sign up. You stay in control: every link can be password-protected, set to expire, marked read-only or downloadable, and revoked at any time.

Who can use it

Anyone who can edit the record they want to share. In modules with role-based permissions (Data Rooms, Pitch Decks, Brand Kit, Notes), the share button only appears when your role allows it.

How to get here

Open the record (pitch deck, data room, note, brand kit, investor snapshot) and look for a Share button.

Step-by-step: generating a share link

Pattern using a pitch deck:

  1. Open the deck.

  2. Click Share. Share Pitch Deck dialog opens.

  3. Pick a tab:

    • Get link — copyable link.

    • Email invite — emails link with personal note.

    • Manage — see/edit existing links.

  4. Choose access type:

    • Public — anyone with the link.

    • Private — passcode required.

  5. Set expiry: Never / 1 day / 1 week / 1 month / 3 months / 6 months / 1 year.

  6. Toggle module-specific controls (Allow download, Show analysis, Watermark text, Recipient name).

  7. Click Create link. Copy the URL.

Data rooms also pick which folders/files the link can access.

Step-by-step: sending the link by email

  1. Switch to Email invite.

  2. Enter Recipient email (required), optional name.

  3. Add Personal note.

  4. Set access and expiry.

  5. Click send. Email delivered; share record created for tracking.

Step-by-step: protecting a link with a passcode

  1. Set Access type to Private.

  2. Passcode field appears — type or click wand to generate.

  3. Save.

  4. Share passcode via a different channel.

Step-by-step: managing or revoking a link

  1. Re-open share dialog → Manage tab.

  2. List shows: viewer count, last viewed, expiry, access type, Revoked badge.

  3. Click Revoke to disable. Anyone trying gets "access revoked".

  4. Also see analytics — sessions, time spent, slides viewed, completion rate.

What viewers see on a public link

  • Pitch deck — slide-by-slide viewer, optional download and analysis.

  • Data room — only files/folders you marked accessible, with your permissions.

  • Investor snapshot — summary as a public report.

  • Private — passcode prompt first.

  • Expired/revoked — friendly message.

Tips & limits

  • Use a passcode for sensitive content — public links could be forwarded.

  • Set expiry to 1 month or less for early-stage investor conversations.

  • Watermarks make screenshot repurposing harder.

  • Manage tab shows whether anyone opened the link.

  • Public share pages are noindex — won't show in search engines.

FAQ

Same link to multiple investors?

Yes. For per-viewer tracking, create one link per recipient via Email invite.

Can I edit a link after creating?

Manage tab → revoke and create fresh. Can't edit URL or change access type.

What happens to viewers when I revoke?

Next refresh shows "access revoked". Mid-view loses access on next interaction.

Share link = adding to organization?

No. Read-only (or download-enabled) access to one asset. No user account, no other workspace access.

Do shared analytics track personal info?

Sessions, time, slides viewed, completion — not viewer identity, unless you used Email invite which ties views to the recipient.

Where do I revoke every link at once?

Per-link revoke only — no bulk revoke (to avoid accidental shutdowns).
