What it does
Your business profile is your startup's public-facing page on Nautis. It captures who you are, what you do, where you're going, and who's on the team — all in one place that you can share with investors, partners, and your network.
Who can use it
Anyone in your organization with read access to Business Profile. Editing and creating require the same module permission with edit/create rights. Your Super Admin role gets this automatically; other roles need it granted.
The Business Profile feature must be enabled for your organization. If it isn't, you'll see a "Feature disabled" message with a way to request access.
How to get here
From the sidebar, open Profile & Company and click Edit Business Profile.
Step-by-step: create your profile for the first time
On the Business Profile page, click Create Startup Profile.
You'll land in the Create Profile editor. The left sidebar lists every section of the profile; you start on Basic Information.
Fill in the required fields (marked with a red asterisk): Company Name and One-Liner / Elevator Pitch. Optionally add a logo by clicking the upload icon on the avatar, choosing an image, and cropping it.
Click Save & Continue to move to the next section.
Step-by-step: edit your profile
Open Business Profile from the sidebar.
On the profile view, click the edit icon near the profile header (or the Edit action from any section) to open the editor.
Pick a section from the left sidebar. Each section is a self-contained form — your changes there don't affect other sections.
Update the fields you need to change.
Click Save to save just that section, or Save & Continue to save and jump to the next one.
If you try to switch sections with unsaved changes, Nautis will show an Unsaved changes dialog. Choose Save & Continue, Discard, or Cancel.
What's in each section
Basic Information — Company name, logo, one-liner, problem statement, solution, and a longer description.
Mission & Vision — Your mission, vision, core values, and goals.
Company Details — Founded year, team size (1–10, 11–50, 51–200, 201–500, 501–1000, 1000+), and location.
Contact & Social Media — Website, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram.
Business Information — Business type, business models, revenue stage, product stage, funding stage, industries, technologies.
Funding — Whether you're raising, target amount, use of funds, and exit strategy.
Marketing & Sales — Marketing channels, pricing models, pricing strategy, sales process.
Founding Team — Key team members and their roles.
Products & Services — What you sell or offer.
Advisory Board — Advisors and board members (optional, doesn't affect profile completeness).
Intellectual Property — Patents, trademarks, copyrights, research, and other IP (optional).
Additional Information — Any custom forms your organization has set up for startup profiles (only shows if you have one).
Step-by-step: make your profile public
Open the editor for your profile.
In the top-right of the editor header, you'll see a Private / Public toggle. Flip it to Public.
Nautis confirms with a "Profile is now public" toast. Visitors with the link can now view your profile without logging in.
To make it private again, flip the toggle back. You'll see "Profile is now private".
Step-by-step: preview your public profile
From the editor header, click Preview.
A new tab opens showing your profile exactly as outside viewers see it. Close the tab when you're done.
Step-by-step: share your profile
Make sure your profile is set to Public first — sharing won't work on a private profile.
From the profile view, click the share icon in the header to open the Share Profile dialog.
From here you can:
Copy the direct link.
Copy an embed code (an iframe you can paste into your own site).
Share to LinkedIn, Facebook, or X (Twitter) with one click.
Tips & limits
Your profile shows a completeness percentage. Each non-optional section that you fully complete is worth an equal share of 100%. Advisory Board, Intellectual Property, and Additional Information don't count toward this score — they're optional.
Each section shows a small Complete or Incomplete badge in its top-right so you can see at a glance where the gaps are.
The Logo is cropped to a square. Upload a tall or wide image and Nautis will let you crop it before saving.
The one-liner is capped at 300 characters — keep it tight.
Company name is capped at 100 characters.
Founded year cannot be in the future.
FAQ
Do I have to fill in every section to use my profile?
No. You can save a section with only the required fields filled and come back to the rest later. Each section saves independently.
What happens if I close the tab without saving?
If you have unsaved changes in the section you're editing, your browser will warn you before the tab closes.
Can investors see my profile if it's private?
No. Only people inside your organization can view a private profile. To share with investors or partners, switch the visibility to Public first.
Why is my "Funding" section showing incomplete even though I filled in a number?
The funding section counts as complete when both the funding amount and a funding stage are set. Double-check the Business Information section to make sure a funding stage is selected.
Can I change my company name later?
Yes. Open the editor, go to Basic Information, change the name, and click Save. The public profile URL updates with it.
