What it does
Connect the outside tools your company runs on — Slack, Notion, Linear, GitHub, Gmail, and 1,000+ more — so your Nautis AI agents can act in them: post a Slack message, create a Linear issue, read a Notion page. Authentication is fully managed — you sign in on the provider's own screen and Nautis never sees your password.
Two separate switches keep you in control: connecting an app stores the authorization so Nautis can talk to it, and enabling it for agents is a second, deliberate step. Even then, any action that writes or sends still asks for your approval each time.
Who can use it
Anyone with read permission can browse the catalog and see what's connected.
Only Owners and Admins can connect, disconnect, or enable apps for agents.
Connections are organization-level — one connected Slack serves the whole workspace.

Step-by-step: connect an app
Browse the catalog — featured tools (Slack, Linear, Notion, GitHub) are highlighted; search covers the full 1,000+ catalog. Sort by Popular or A–Z.
Hover a tool and click Connect. You're redirected to the provider's own sign-in and consent screen.
Back in Nautis, a dialog asks "Allow agents to use [App]?" — choose Enable for agents or Not now. You can change this anytime.
Status dots show each connection's state: Connected, Connecting… (click Finish/Continue), Error, or Expired (click Reconnect).
Step-by-step: control what agents may use
Agent access — the master switch: "Allow the copilot to use this tool. Writes still require your approval each time."
Available actions — every action tagged Read (runs without a prompt) or Write (always approval-gated). Admins can toggle individual actions — a per-action setting overrides the master switch.
Permissions it can request — the OAuth scopes, in plain chips.
Step-by-step: manage accounts
Connect several accounts of the same app (e.g. two Slack workspaces) with Add account.
Agents act through the Primary account — switch it with Make primary; rename labels with the pencil.
Reconnect re-runs sign-in on an expired or errored account.
Step-by-step: disconnect
Click the trash icon and confirm in Disconnect [App]? — "Agents will no longer be able to use this tool. You can reconnect it at any time. This does not delete anything in the tool itself."
Tips & limits
Connecting ≠ agent access. Three layers protect you: connect → enable for agents → per-use approval on every write.
Approval requests appear in the Approval Center (Chief of Staff → Approvals tab).
Nautis doesn't sync or copy data from connected tools — agents call actions on demand.
Non-admins can browse, but Connect buttons and switches are disabled.
FAQ
Does Nautis see my password for these tools?
No. You authenticate on the provider's own page; Nautis receives a managed access token, stored encrypted and never exposed.
I connected Slack — why isn't the copilot using it?
Connecting is only step one. Open the tool's page and turn on Agent access.
Will an agent send messages without asking me?
No. Write actions always request approval first, even on agent-enabled tools. Only read actions run without a prompt.
A connection shows "Expired". What do I do?
Click Reconnect and sign in again — it re-authorizes the same connection.
Can I connect two Slack workspaces?
Yes — Add account, and switch which one is Primary anytime.
If I disconnect a tool, does anything get deleted in it?
No. Disconnecting only removes Nautis's access; reconnect whenever you like.
