What it does
The command palette is a keyboard-driven launcher for jumping anywhere in Nautis. Open it from anywhere, start typing what you want, and hit Enter to navigate or trigger an action. It is the fastest way to move around when you know the name of what you need.
Who can use it
The command palette is available on the desktop shell view. Anyone signed in can open it; the actions you see inside reflect the modules you have access to.
How to get here
Press the keyboard shortcut from anywhere in Nautis:
Mac: Cmd + K
Windows / Linux: Ctrl + K
A dialog opens in the center of the screen with a search field at the top.
Step-by-step: opening and running a command
Press Cmd + K (or Ctrl + K).
Palette opens with Type a command or search… focused.
Start typing. Results filter in real time.
Use arrow keys to highlight. Footer: ↑ ↓ to navigate and ↵ to run.
Press Enter (or click) to run. Palette closes.
Esc to close without running.
Step-by-step: searching across modules
Results grouped by section. Type "deck" or "lead" — multiple matches with section headers (e.g., Navigation takes you to a module; Desktop triggers interface actions).
Step-by-step: searching inside a specific module
Each module has its own search box on its main page (e.g., Search Events, Search documents and templates). Use those when filtering records inside one module rather than jumping between areas.
Tips & limits
Same on every page — shortcut works deep inside a task board or on the dashboard.
Hover a result to highlight.
No matches → No commands match that search. Try shorter/different keywords.
Built for navigation and actions. Doesn't search inside record bodies — use module's own search.
FAQ
Cmd + K doesn't open the palette.
Part of the desktop shell view. May not respond on mobile or in full-screen flows that capture the shortcut. No input field should have stolen focus.
Can I change the shortcut?
Fixed at Cmd + K / Ctrl + K. No in-app keybinding editor.
Separate shortcut for the app launcher?
Yes — Cmd + A / Ctrl + A opens the launcher when no input field is focused.
Why do I see fewer commands than my teammate?
Filtered by your permissions.
Does it search inside notes, tasks, or files?
Not yet. Use the module's own search.
