What it does
Your daily Founder Briefing — what changed, what's blocked, and what needs you today. Every morning, Nautis scans your whole workspace (tasks, pipeline, runway, meetings, approvals, invoices, wellbeing signals, and more), ranks what matters most, and presents one prioritized list with a one-sentence headline. It's also home to the Approval Center, where you review actions your AI agents want to take, and the Autonomy settings that decide what agents may do without asking.
Who can use it
Read permission to view briefings; update to act on items.
Only Owners and Admins can approve/reject agent actions and change Autonomy settings.
How to get here
Click Chief of Staff near the top of the sidebar. A condensed Today's briefing card also sits at the top of your Dashboard — click View to open the full page.
Step-by-step: read your daily briefing
Open the Briefing tab. The headline card sums up your day — click Listen for a spoken version.
Items are grouped in priority order: Priorities, Blockers, Approvals, Pipeline, Today, Runway, each with a Critical or Attention pill. Clicking an item opens its source module.
The At a glance rail shows runway, pending approvals, and Today's mix.
A new briefing generates automatically every morning at 7:00 am in your organization's timezone. Click Refresh to regenerate anytime.
Step-by-step: act on a briefing item
Do it — runs the item's suggested action (e.g. "Send reminder" on an overdue invoice). For owners/admins, your tap approves and runs it immediately; otherwise it queues in the Approval Center.
Ask Commodore — hands the item to the built-in chat with full context.
Mark done, Snooze until tomorrow, or Dismiss (won't resurface for two weeks). Each choice quietly tunes future briefings.
Step-by-step: review agent approvals
Open the Approvals tab — the Approval Center. The badge shows the pending count.
Each card shows which agent asked, the action, a plain-language summary, and Show details.
Owners/Admins click Approve ("Your agent will execute this action now. This can have real effects."), Reject, or Cancel request.
The Pending / All toggle shows history: Approved, Rejected, Cancelled, Expired.
Step-by-step: set agent autonomy (admins)
Open the Autonomy tab. Each agent capability has two choices: Ask every time (routes to Approvals) or Auto-run (no approval). Capabilities are labeled External or Internal; every action is audit-logged.
What matters most right now holds six priority sliders — Revenue at risk, Runway & burn, Deals & fundraising, Team health, Marketing & brand, Everything else — from Lower to Top of mind. Click Save; changes apply to tomorrow's briefing. The weights also learn from your done/snooze/dismiss decisions.
Step-by-step: history and the dashboard card
The History tab keeps every past briefing, plus Monday Weekly digests and optional Evening debriefs.
On the Dashboard, collapse, refresh, or hide the Today's briefing card — a slim bar with Show brings it back.
Tips & limits
The briefing is generated once each morning and cached all day unless you Refresh.
Owners/admins get a "Your morning briefing is ready" notification (and email, via the weekly-digest email preference) when there's something notable.
Generation uses a tiny amount of AI credits (the headline only). If credits run out, the briefing still generates with a plain fallback headline.
The evening debrief (5:00 pm, "what moved today, what's first tomorrow") is off by default — ask your admin to enable it.
FAQ
Where does the briefing get its information?
From across your workspace: task boards, leads pipeline, today's meetings, runway, agent approvals, overdue invoices, burnout check-ins, fundraising signals, meeting action items, decision reviews, and more.
Can agents do things without my permission?
Not unless you explicitly allow it. Everything defaults to Ask every time. "Nothing acts without your approval" — and even auto-run actions are fully audit-logged.
Why do two people see the same briefing?
It's per-organization — the company's day, not a personal to-do list.
How long does "Assembling your briefing…" take?
Usually well under a minute; the page updates itself. If it fails you get a Try again button — your data is untouched.
It says "You're all caught up." Is that right?
Yes — nothing urgent surfaced right now. New priorities, blockers, and approvals appear as they come up.
