What it does
Every file your team uploads to Nautis — pitch decks, expense receipts, signed documents, brand assets, chat attachments, and so on — counts against your organization's storage quota. The Storage Usage tab shows how much you've used, what's eating the most space, and lets you buy more when you need it.
Who can use it
Organization Owners, Admins, and the Billing User can open the Storage Usage tab and buy storage add-ons.
Other members can still upload files (subject to the org's overall quota) but won't see the storage tab.
How to get here
Sign in to Nautis.
Click your organization name in the sidebar, or open Organizations and pick the one you want.
On the organization page, click the Storage Usage tab in the tab bar.
The tab opens to your Storage Balance at the top and a Storage by Module breakdown below.
Step-by-step: check your storage balance
Open the Storage Usage tab.
The top card, Storage Balance, shows four numbers in gigabytes:
Plan Limit — what your subscription includes.
Bonus Storage — extra GB you've bought as an add-on pack. Never expires.
Used — how much you've consumed so far.
Remaining — what you have left.
Below the numbers, a progress bar shows the percentage used. It turns amber at 80% and red at 90% as a heads-up.
The footer shows the total file count and how many active modules are storing data.
Click the small refresh icon in the top-right of the card any time to recalculate.
If your plan is unlimited, you'll see "Unlimited" in the Plan Limit and Remaining boxes and no progress bar.
Step-by-step: see which feature is using the most space
Scroll to the Storage by Module card.
The table lists every Nautis feature that can store files, with:
Module — friendly name (e.g. Pitch Decks, Brand Kit, Chat, Invoices, Expenses, AI Coach, Data Rooms, etc.) and its internal key.
Files — how many files that module is currently storing.
Used — total bytes used, displayed in B / KB / MB / GB.
% of total — share of your overall storage.
Status — Enabled if the module is active on your plan, Disabled if it's switched off (disabled modules may still hold historical files you uploaded earlier).
Use this table to spot quick wins. For example, if Pitch Decks is holding 80% of your space, archiving old decks can free up GB fast.
Step-by-step: buy more storage (add-on pack)
In the Storage Balance card, click Buy More Storage.
A dialog opens with the available storage packs. Each card shows:
The pack size (e.g. 10 GB, 50 GB).
The one-time price.
The cost per GB so you can compare value.
A MOST POPULAR ribbon on the best-value pack.
Click any pack to select it — the selected pack gets a check mark in the corner.
Click the Buy button at the bottom (it shows the pack size and price, e.g. Buy 50 GB · $20.00).
You're forwarded to Stripe to complete payment.
After payment succeeds, you return to the Storage Usage tab. The bought GB are added to your Bonus Storage balance.
Bonus storage stacks on top of your plan limit and never expires. It rolls over from one billing period to the next.
Step-by-step: free up space
If you'd rather clean up than buy more storage:
Use the Storage by Module table to find the heaviest module.
Go to that module from the sidebar (e.g. Pitch Decks, Expenses, Data Rooms).
Delete old files or whole records you no longer need. Each delete frees the space attached to it.
Come back to the Storage Usage tab and click the refresh icon to confirm the new total.
Tips & limits
The percentage and progress bar turn amber at 80% and red at 90% so you have time to react before uploads start failing.
When you reach 100%, new uploads will be blocked until you free up space, buy a storage pack, or upgrade your plan. Existing files are never deleted automatically.
The size limit is calculated as Plan Limit + Bonus Storage. Buying a pack lifts your ceiling immediately — you do not need to upgrade your plan.
A nightly job re-counts every file in the background to keep the Used number accurate. If you've just bulk-deleted a lot of files, the displayed total should match within a day.
Only the organization Owner, Admin, or Billing User can buy add-on packs. Other team members can ask their admin to top up.
User profile photos are stored separately and don't count against your org's quota.
FAQ
What counts as storage?
Anything your team uploads through Nautis — pitch deck files, brand kit assets, expense receipts, signed documents, chat attachments, HR documents, data room files, and more. The Storage by Module table shows the full breakdown.
Why does my Used total look different from what I expect?
Storage is tracked per upload, so duplicates and previous versions are each counted. Click refresh to pull the latest reconciled total.
Will deleting files refund any money?
No — pack purchases are one-time. Freeing space just gives you more headroom against your existing limit.
Can I buy storage on a free trial?
Yes — add-on packs are available on any plan, including trials.
What happens when my storage is full?
New uploads will fail with an "over quota" message. Existing files stay safe. Buy a pack or delete files to start uploading again.
Do bonus GB expire if I downgrade my plan?
No — bonus storage you've purchased stays attached to your organization regardless of plan changes.
