What it does

The Profile tab is where you update your personal details: your photo, full name, phone number, and job title. These details show up next to your name across Nautis — in comments, chat, task assignments, and shared documents.

Who can use it

  • Every signed-in user has their own Profile tab and can edit their own information.

  • The Danger Zone (delete your account) only appears for users who own at least one organization. Team members who were invited to a workspace will not see it.

How to get here

  1. Sign in to Nautis.

  2. Open your profile menu in the top-right.

  3. Click Account Settings.

  4. The page opens on the Profile tab by default. If you've moved elsewhere, click the Profile tab at the top of the page.

Step-by-step: change your photo

  1. On the Profile tab, look for the round avatar near the top of the page (it shows your initials if you haven't uploaded a photo yet).

  2. Click the small upload icon on the bottom-right corner of the avatar.

  3. Pick an image file from your computer.

  4. A cropping dialog appears so you can frame your face. Drag and zoom until you're happy with the square preview.

  5. Confirm the crop. The new image uploads straight away and you'll see "Profile image updated successfully."

Step-by-step: update your name, phone, or job title

  1. On the Profile tab, edit any of these fields:

    • Full name — how your name appears everywhere in the app. Must be at least 2 characters.

    • Phone number — pick your country flag from the dropdown, then type the rest of the number. Optional.

    • Designation — your job title, e.g. "CEO", "Founder", "CTO". Optional. Appears next to your name in some lists.

  2. Click Save changes at the bottom of the card.

  3. You'll see a "Profile updated successfully" message. The new details appear immediately in menus and avatars across the app.

Step-by-step: your email address

Your email is shown in the Email field but is greyed out — you can't edit it from this screen. It's the address you use to sign in, so changing it is treated as an account-level action.

Step-by-step: schedule account deletion (org owners only)

If you own an organization, you'll see a red Danger Zone card at the bottom of the Profile tab.

  1. Read the warning carefully. Account deletion is permanent — once the 30-day grace period ends, your account and all of your content are gone.

  2. Click Delete Account.

  3. A confirmation dialog opens. Fill it in:

    • Type DELETE ACCOUNT to confirm — type the words DELETE ACCOUNT exactly (it's case-insensitive but must be those two words).

    • Two-factor authentication code — if you have 2FA turned on, enter the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

    • Reason for leaving — optional. A short note helps the team improve the product.

  4. Click Schedule Deletion.

  5. You'll see "Account deletion scheduled" and the Danger Zone card switches to a yellow banner showing your scheduled deletion date and how many days remain.

Step-by-step: cancel a scheduled deletion

  1. Return to Account Settings → Profile.

  2. In the yellow scheduled-deletion banner, click Cancel Deletion.

  3. You'll see "Account deletion cancelled" and your account stays active. The banner disappears.

You can cancel any time during the 30-day window.

Tips & limits

  • Your Full name must be at least 2 characters — anything shorter won't save.

  • The avatar upload uses a square crop. Pick an image where your face (or logo) is roughly centred so the crop comes out clean.

  • The phone number field supports international formats. Pick the country flag first, then type the local number — the country code is added automatically.

  • The Email field shows your sign-in address but is read-only on this screen.

  • The Danger Zone is hidden for team members because their organization owner controls workspace deletion separately.

  • After scheduling deletion, you can still log in and use the app normally during the 30-day grace period.

FAQ

I don't see the Danger Zone. Why?

It only appears for users who own at least one organization. If you were invited to someone else's workspace, you can leave the workspace from your organization settings but you can't delete your own account from here.

Do I need to refresh after saving?

No. Your name and photo update across the app right away.

What happens to my organization if I delete my account?

Your personal account and content are queued for deletion after 30 days.

Can I change my email here?

No, the Email field is read-only on this tab.

What's the difference between "Full name" and "Designation"?

Full name is what people see (e.g. "Jane Smith"). Designation is your role label (e.g. "CEO") that shows next to your name in some places.
