What it does
The Email Preferences tab controls which emails Nautis sends to your inbox. You turn whole categories on or off — for example, you can stop marketing emails without losing your weekly activity digest.
In-app bell notifications and emails are managed separately. This tab is only about emails. For bell control, see Account settings — Notifications.
Who can use it
Every signed-in user has their own Email Preferences tab. Your choices only affect emails sent to you.
Security alert emails are always on and cannot be disabled.
How to get here
Sign in to Nautis.
Open your profile menu in the top-right and click Account Settings.
Click the Email Preferences tab.
Step-by-step: turn a category on or off
On the Email Preferences tab, you'll see a list of toggles, each with an icon, a name, and a short description.
Click any toggle to flip it on (filled) or off (empty).
The Save Preferences button at the bottom-right wakes up as soon as you've changed at least one toggle.
Click Save Preferences.
You'll see "Email preferences updated."
If you change your mind before saving, just toggle the categories back — or leave the page without saving and your changes are discarded.
The categories
Here's everything you can control on this tab:
Security Alerts — Login attempts, password changes, and security warnings. Always on, cannot be turned off.
Product Updates — New features, improvements, and platform announcements.
Weekly Digest — Weekly summary of activity across your organizations.
Ticket Updates — Replies and status changes on your support tickets.
Chat Notifications — New messages and mentions in channels you belong to.
Event Reminders — Upcoming events and scheduled meeting reminders.
Marketing Emails — Tips, promotions, and partner offers.
Step-by-step: unsubscribe from one specific email
Every Nautis email you receive has an unsubscribe link at the very bottom. Clicking it unsubscribes you from that specific category — you don't have to log in.
Open the email you no longer want.
Scroll to the footer and click the unsubscribe link.
The link opens a confirmation page. Confirm to unsubscribe from that category.
After you unsubscribe, the matching toggle on this tab will show as off the next time you visit.
Step-by-step: turn everything off (except security)
On the Email Preferences tab, click each toggle so all the non-security categories are off.
Click Save Preferences.
You'll keep receiving security alert emails (locked on) and any one-off transactional emails such as password resets or invoices — those aren't covered by these toggles.
Tips & limits
Security alerts can't be disabled. The toggle is greyed out on purpose.
The Save Preferences button is greyed out until you change at least one toggle.
Email preferences are personal and apply across every organization you belong to.
Transactional emails such as password resets, email verifications, organization invitations, and invoices are not controlled by these toggles — those will still arrive.
Email preferences are not the same as bell notifications. To stop the bell pinging, also adjust the Notifications tab.
If you don't see an email you expected, check your spam folder first, then make sure the right category is turned on here.
FAQ
Why is Security Alerts greyed out?
Login attempt warnings and password-change confirmations are critical for account safety, so they can't be disabled.
I turned off Chat Notifications — will I stop seeing chat in the app too?
No. This tab only affects emails. Chat inside the app keeps working.
I unsubscribed from the link in an email. Why does it still show "on" in this tab?
Your browser may have cached the page. Refresh, or reopen Account Settings → Email Preferences to see the updated state.
What's the difference between Weekly Digest and Product Updates?
Weekly Digest is your personal activity summary (mentions, tasks, etc.). Product Updates are Nautis's release notes and feature announcements.
Will I still get invoices if I turn off Marketing Emails?
Yes. Invoices are transactional emails and don't belong to the marketing category.
Where can I see the emails Nautis has sent me?
Check your inbox — there's no in-app email archive on this tab.
