What it does

The Startup Journey is a guided timeline of the stages, milestones, and tasks every early-stage company runs through — from idea to scale. You see what's next, mark tasks as you finish them, jot notes, and watch your overall progress climb.

Who can use it

  • Anyone in your organization with read access to the Journey module. Marking tasks and saving notes requires write rights.

  • The Journey feature must be enabled for your organization.

How to get here

From the sidebar, open Profile & Company and click Journey Tracker.

What you'll see

Three columns on desktop:

  • Stages on the left — the high-level phases of your startup's life.

  • Milestones in the middle — the major goals inside the selected stage.

  • Tasks on the right — the actionable items inside the selected milestone.

Across the top: Your Startup Journey and an Overall progress bar. On mobile, the stage and milestone columns collapse into dropdowns.

Step-by-step: work through a task

  1. Pick a stage on the left. The milestones list refreshes.

  2. Pick a milestone in the middle. Its tasks appear on the right.

  3. Each task shows title, priority badge, and any attached links, videos, or files.

  4. Click Details for description and expected outcome.

  5. When done, set status to Completed. Progress bars move up.

  6. If the task doesn't apply, choose Not applicable — still counts toward progress.

  7. To re-open, set status back to Pending.

Step-by-step: add a note to a task

  1. Click the Edit Note badge on the task row.

  2. Write your note in the rich-text editor.

  3. Click Save note.

Step-by-step: open a task's resources

  1. Click the link, video, or file icon on the task row.

  2. The Resources dialog opens.

  3. Use Open link, Watch, or Download.

Step-by-step: switch stages and milestones

  1. On desktop, click any stage card on the left, then any milestone card in the middle.

  2. On mobile, use the Stage and Milestone dropdowns at the top.

Tips & limits

  • Overall progress reflects every task in every stage.

  • Completed tasks get a green border; Not applicable get a red border.

  • Task priority shows as a badge.

  • Resources are read-only — Journey templates are curated by Nautis.

FAQ

Can I add my own tasks or milestones?

No, Journey content is curated. Use the Task Board or Notes modules for your own to-dos.

What does "Not applicable" actually do?

It stops the task counting as outstanding work. Progress treats it the same as Completed.

Where do my task notes live?

Attached to each task, visible only to people in your organization with Journey access.

Do my notes go away if I change a task's status?

No. Status and notes are independent.

Why didn't my progress percentage move when I completed a task?

It rounds to whole numbers. With many tasks per milestone, one completion may not bump the headline number.
